Project description

RockyTown is a VR party game. the player have to win all mini-games to activate a monolith.

 

There are 4 mini-games ( 1 min 30 of gameplay ) : Ax throwing, Firework, Wizard battle and Path Helper.

During the project, I have mainly work on the Hub level design but I have also help to create several GDD on mini-games and activities

( a sub category of mini-games with only few seconds of gameplay ).

Food Truck

At the beginning, our goal was to find actions that the player can do with VR.

We had to create some One Page Concept to test compatibilities with the WMR ( that impose a lot of constraints ).

After that, I have work on a GDD with someone else to prototype a asymmetrical gameplay.

We have call it " Food Truck ". Players have to deliver food as fast as possible. To do that, a player have to cook while the other one have to drive at the good location and dodge obstacles.

Rocky Town

Our teacher, the lead game designer, has decided to cut all ideas to focus on a party game with mini games.

This new perspective help to include all game designer in the project ( We was 10 GD ).

RockyTown is composed by a hub and some mini-game ( 1 min 30 of gameplay each ).

At this moment, I have been chosen to create the level design of the Hub because I was the one who show the more interest for this role.
